My personal service was good, obviously, but when it came to the run, I was struggling. Back then, I was out of shape, so even just running one lap on a track was difficult for me. I never ran in my life before joining the military. I never ran for fun, so hearing that I had to run four laps around the track to make it one mile felt like a huge challenge.
